YOUTH
Here at Redeemer, we encourage children and youth of all ages to participate in our intergenerational worship during services, but once a month, currently, Lois Blackadar leads our youth as they spend time with one another in learning, activities, and projects to better themselves, the parish, and their community. Most recently, the youth constructed and continues to provide for the Little Food Pantry that they constructed outside of our Parish Hall. They continue to support it with donations and raffled items as well as raise funds for their own use and enjoyment. A recent project allowed them to rent the local public pool for themselves and all of their friends and our parish family.

Adult ministries include the Episcopal Church Women, or ECW, which works tirelessly throughout the year to support many organizations in Salmon and the people of Salmon. Through their study, contributions to worship, fund-raising efforts like the yearly Holiday Bazaar held the first weekend in November, and parish community support, they welcome the women of the parish to come together and make significant change in the church, the community, and beyond.
Along with being a musical parish with a classically trained musical pastor, we are also known in the community for highlighting local and guest musicians, soloists, and music programs. There are also classes and events throughout the year on focused topics as well as guest teachers and clinicians on such topics as: music in the church, Centering Prayer, worship in daily life, church history and many other topics. These events can be seen on the church calendar and are open to anyone in the community to attend.
SERVICE TIMES - SUNDAYS / THURSDAYS
Sunday Morning Worship is at 9:30 AM with youth Sundays noted each month in the calendar and on Facebook.
Thursday Evening Meditation at 5:30 with Evening Prayer or Compline to follow at 6 PM.
ONGOING REGULAR PROGRAMS
The Church of the Redeemer is glad to provide a gathering space for the larger community. We currently have meetings of AA, Al-Anon, and the Caregivers Support Group as well as hosting the office of the Salmon Arts Council. Each year, we have been proud to host community recitals, Community Theatre auditions and Events, local lectures and, most recently, been the host for Salmon’s recently founded PRIDE event held in the spring.
The Parish Hall is also the gathering place for the annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, as well as being open for rental for celebrations, weddings, anniversaries, family reunions, and life memorial celebrations. WHAT TO EXPECT
We here at the Church of the Redeemer are a family of support and encouragement in our daily lives and in our spiritual ones. You can expect a warm welcome and encouragement to worship as you are comfortable. You may come as you are and know that you will always find a home here without judgment and with truly caring people. If you would like to visit with Br. If you would like to visit, join us at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings and let anyone know you are visiting and they will assist you without making you feel nervous or ‘on-the-spot’. After Sunday morning worship, we always gather in the Parish Hall for coffee and a light brunch or refreshments as we share our news with each other in a more informal setting. Mid-week services are intimate and a time for quiet reflection and a chance to meet our resident friar.

Whether you're planning your first visit or getting involved in ministry, here are answers to the most common questions we receive.
What time should I arrive for Sunday service?
Our Church Service begins at 9:30 am. We welcome you just as you are. Arrive 5-10 minutes early to settle in. There’s no formal dress code — come comfortably. We offer full programs for children and youth during services, and if you feel called to serve, we’d love to help you find a place to get involved.
Are children welcome to participate in worship?
Not only are they welcome, they are encouraged to participate and help us pray. As Jesus welcomed them to himself, so shall we, and encourage them to lead and guide us. Innocent at heart, they are a blessing to us every day.
Do you offer programs for children and youth?
Yes, definitely. Children have their own special activities and enjoyment. One of our elders leads a group that takes care of the needy in our community. It's not only a great example and a blessing to us, but it's also inspiring to see how they affect the community around us.
How can I get involved in volunteering or ministry?
We are thrilled to have you join our church community and we invite you to get involved in any of our ministries. Your participation and contribution will not only benefit the church, but it will also enrich your own spiritual journey. As we give of ourselves, we receive so much in return.
